Hey! I have a question for you! :) I am new at making TPT files to share and sell, and I am a new blogger. Do the games and or activities I want to sell or share have to be in adobe reader x? Can I make them in Word or Publisher? Thank you for your time and help, I appreciate it!Beccamrsowenskindergarten.blogspot.com
Hi Rebecca! Welcome! Yes, if you are using graphics you must secure them in a non-editable file(PDF). Otherwise you will violate the clip arts TOU. Good luck!
I just read this and I thought some of the things could be edited. Can I use paint shop pro? Thanks for your input! You are so sweet!
I'm not very familiar with that program. Sorry!
DeeDee,Hi! I am new to the kindergarten classroom this year, although I have been teaching for 21 years! I am just a bit overwhelmed with literacy and math centers. I'm trying to look through your past blogs to see exactly how you manage your stations. But, I'm having trouble finding a detailed explantion of how you conduct your stations. Can you help me out? (If you have time). My e-mail is email@example.com. Thank you so much. And, I love your page and ideas on TPT!!Julie Lewis
I would really love some help with this as well! I'm like you Julie, I'm in my 14th year teaching and this is my first in K! So far LOVE it, but would like to fine tune some things. DeeDee, any advice and suggestions would be WONDERFUL! I'd love to know how you work your stations as well, this is the scariest part of my day, LOLfirstname.lastname@example.orgThank you for all the fun stuff you do DeeDee!! Melissa
Hi Melissa, I had emailed Julie already, but here is a link to how I organize my stations and how my classroom is set up.Here is a post that I did on how I have my classroom set up.http://www.mrswillskindergarten.com/search/label/OrganizationI have two students to a station and they stay there for 15-20 minutes. We do two rotations a day. I hope that helps! If you still have questions, please let me know. I am happy to help in any way I can. email@example.com
I am so glad to know that I am not the only crazy one that has taught forever (Year 19 here) and then all of a sudden makes the leap to kindergarten! I am such a visual person, so I love seeing classroom videos to see it all in action. I know it is often difficult to do, which privacy issues and all, but I was wondering if you had considered adding that to your blog--because you know I am sure you have nothing else to think about with May quickly approaching! Love all of your stuff! Thanks a million for all you do and share with all of us newbies (and not so newbies!)Michelle Stiger firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you Michelle. I actually do have videos of my class in action, but I use them for my presentations. We do have waivers signed, but I just don't feel comfortable putting them on the internet. I am a little protective I guess...
Hi. I am a preschool director in Paramus, NJ and one of my teachers just bought your log to my attention. I've got to tell you, I'm hooked! I would like to know how you would feel about us using your "Author at Work" letter. Thank you,Shani
Oh! Thank you! Yes, please feel free to share anything you find on my blog! It is meant to be shared!
Deedee, I have fallen in love with your blog, as well as Reagan's blog. You both have such amazing visual lesson plans. You both have inspired me to begin creating my own, but I am having issue with creating PDFs with clickable images. Would you be willing to share any tips you have for doing this? Thank you for sharing such wonderful ideas!CaraleeConfessions of a Teachanistaconfessionsteachanista@gmail.com
Hi there! Basically, the hyperlink becomes active after you convert it to a PDF IF you are using a PC. If you are using a MAC it does not work. You have to add the hyperlink a different way with MACs but I have no idea how to do it... sorry!
Hi Mrs. Willis. Wow, what an inspiration you are! I love everything about your teaching style. This is my second year teaching in Virginia and am in a looping school. I started in 2nd grade last year, therefore, I am in 3rd grade this year! It has been quite an adventure to say the least. Because of the stress on the tests and such I have made the decision to ask my principal for permission to move down to kindergarten position that will be open next year. I heard back yesterday and I WILL BE A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER NEXT YEAR. I am stoked because I will finally be able to express my true personality in my teaching. Third was just too hard on the tests and just not for me. Moving to Kindergarten means I am starting with absolutely nothing! Would you mind sending me anything that has helped you through the years?! This would be SO helpful. THank you for inspiring me in so many ways. I have been through most of your blog and have already made a list of ideas for my future classroom :)Thanks a BUNCH.Ivaniaivaniaap@gmail.com
Did you post pictures of a writing center using a clothes line to clip on vocabulary words with pictures. I saw it on facebook yesterday.I can't remember which blogger did it. any suggestions for a word wall in a limited amount of space?
Yes, That was my writing center. You could set up your word wall on foldable display board.
Hello Deedee,I have taught kindergarten for over seven years now and would like to tell you how wonderful your blog is. It is organized beautifully and the information you share is very helpful! I love that you share so often and are always keeping your readers up to date with your latest ideas. I was wondering if you have any ideas or strategies for students with behavior problems who are not yet identified. I searched through your blog but I did not come across anything related to this. Thank you for any input you can offer:)Eva
