  6. Looks like a lot of fun!!!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful lesson ideas. You are so very talented. I do have a question: Was there a reason you moved your math stations to the afternoon?

    1. Yes, I ditched the rest time (Yippee)! I usually keep it during the first quarter only.

I wanted a nice chunk of time for both content area and math stations. This seemed to work the best. My kiddos are always really motivated to do math stations, so I knew they would still attack them vigorously in the afternoon.

    2. We haven't rest time for the past 5 years! Which I really don't miss. Do you ever do home living, blocks, etc.?

    3. Rest time drives me nuts(since they don't rest and most of them have not had rest time at home for a few years.) It is funny what we hang onto. Good for you for ditching it all together!

I do not have a home or blocks station. I never started one, but after seeing Growing Kinders awesome unit, I wish I did have a home center. They are super cute!!

  8. You are a busy and amazing lady Deedee! I always get some amazing ideas and inspiration when I visit your blog. =)

Hop over if you get the chance for a *freebie* that might help your Kinders with those tricky teens. =)

  9. I am jealous! Many of my blogging heroes!! Denver is getting closer...Salt Lake City?? I am saving up my money and hoping that Vegas will be at a good time for me to come.

It's good to see that you change up your daily schedule. I think sometimes we feel stuck in the schedule we started with and just keep working at making it work, rather than change the schedule so that it does work. Thanks for all your mentoring and inspiration!

  11. On another note, I wish I could ditch my rest time so that I could fit more stuff in but unfortunatley that is my "planning time"
