Shut the front door! I have these posted on Saturday... It only took me 4 weeks to get these posted on a Saturday.
I spent this morning updating my Apples Math Work Station Unit! It is now more than twice the size! If you have already purchased this unit, you can grab the update at no extra charge! Just go to "My Purchases" at TpT!
I added the Common Core Standards for each activity. This will last you at LEAST 2 weeks... perhaps even longer!
I have made some more emergent readers. This week we are working on "like" and "play" so I made an interactive reader for these two words. It is not fancy... but it is FREE!

I also made an emergent reader for math.

(yes... I am trying to help fill up their nightly book bags with emergent readers).
Here are some adorable books from Danielle Kroger! You can find them on TpT!

Here are my lesson plans. I am actually ready to start small groups, but I may hold off for another week. I am currently helping another classroom get their stations started, so I won't actually be in my room for the first few days of this week during stations time.

That's it folks!!! Have a GREAT week!

Hilarious!!! I TOTALLY forgot about that quote in the movie!!!
DeleteI love the dots for helping the kids with tracking! I have one boy who is really struggling with that, and I think adding dots to his books may really help! Thanks for the idea!

Thank you Lisa! I have seen the dot added for a while, so I certainly can not claim it as my idea. But I agree, I think it does help. Thank you again!!!
DeleteThank for the great books!
ReplyDeleteHi Deedee! Thank you for the freebie books and sharing your lesson plans. I am changing my center organization to be work stations like Debbie Diller and you are my inspirational teacher in the classroom. I may have a few questions and was wondering if I could e-mail you directly. We met at I Teach K in Vegas...do you remember me? You were so friendly and as wonderful as I imagined you would be. Thanks again for your wonderful blog!
ReplyDeleteYES! ABSOLUTELY! That elevator ride was priceless! We all knew we recognized your face, but when you said your name, we could not place you. Then you told us your screen name was Freckle Teacher, we all knew you INSTANTLY!!
DeleteI look forward to hearing from you! I will be gone this afternoon from 3:00 on.

Hi Deedee!
ReplyDeleteI noticed on your plans that you do Saxon Math. Do you find the program is aligned well to the Common Core Standards? We currently do Saxon Phonics, which we love, but are looking for a new math program in our district. Would appreciate your take on the program!
Thanks! Lisa G. in New York
Nope! Saxon is not aligned at all for kindergarten. I am not sure about the other grades. Saxon sent us their "Common Core Upgrade" but it was just a few pages of teacher notes. The student handouts were the same as last year.
DeleteSorry:( I hear great things about Singapore Math!
LOVE the apple packet!!!!!! LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out :) Can't wait to break into unit 2 of writer's workshop!!
