Next week will be the true test! I will be starting my small groups. It takes a lot of preparation to get these going... but it is a good thing I know a few smart people to get my resources from.
First... I literally did a little happy-clap-hop move when I saw this one. I am going to start this right away for a few of my sweeties! Like many of you, I have some of my kiddos who know all of their letters and some of my cuties who do not know any. Small group is a perfect way to service both of these groups! I will also introduce my kiddos to my sequence game.

Sara Cooley has the cutest Apple Tasting kit EVER! Oh! My! Word! She made her own adorable clip art! We will have a blast with this activity!

Tammy At Live, Laugh, Love Kindergarten has a cute apple unit too!
Here is another emergent reader FREEBIE... nothing fancy!
I also just added this item. I will teach it in small group this week as well. This will be great for my higher group who already know their letters and I want to strengthen their consonant sound identification.

I *LOVE* your sequence games- I think I have all of them! My kids adored them last year- can't wait to break them out again! Looks like you have a great week planned!

Thank you Nicole! AND I love your super awesome fonts! This makes me want to get an iPad! I am hoping to figure out another way to make fonts without it...and inexpensively!
DeleteYou are so professional!! Amazing as always!! Come check us out sometime. Thanks for always having great resources for us to check out!! Stephanie
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! Adorable! It must be nice to have some bloggy collaboration! Love it!

Thanks for the shout out, Deedee! Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteNeat stuff! Can you please share how you manage stations? Looks like Debbie Diller??? When do you introduce all the wonderful center activities?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Deb
Hi Deb! Yes! You are right. I do follow Debbie Diller's format. You can see my management board here:

Many of my station activities do not actually change, just the materials/graphics change. If I have a truly "new" activity then I will sit and explain it with my kiddos. Sometimes I rotate the "new" ones in one day at a time. So one on Monday, one on Tuesday...
Oh... or I will teach the activity in small group (like I am with Sequence and Snap this week).
DeleteHi Deedee,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing the 5 Senses mini-unit! I am just introducing the 5 Senses this week and it is always nice finding new and different ways to do so =).
I LOVE your station plans!!!!! Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to work on making mine better!
