So when I first heard about the Silhouette Cameo, I thought it was an urban legend. Seriously, it seemed inconceivable that a machine would allow you to cut precisely around your printed designs.
Cutting vinyl seemed... well... impossible!
I created these with just card stock.
I started with these
They were each under 1 dollar... makes me smile.
Then I created the graphic and let my Cameo cut it out. I glued it to the pan, then used
I glued the ribbons to the back.

Side note: E6000 (which I heard about from Kim Adsit and Deanna Jump) is great for everything... plus the fumes are a real mood-lifter!
This will be my behavior chart.
The students' names are attached by magnets.
This fits perfectly under my Promethean Board.
If you would like to see some other projects for school, you can check them out over at Blog Hoppin. If you have a Cameo and you want to link up with your project we would love it.
If you want to WIN (Yes, WIN) a Cameo make sure you sign up over there too!
If you don't win... don't worry! You can get an awesome educator discount. Click below for more information.

Thank you so much! I tell you... it was a long time in the making. We have like 8-9 units to go! It should be fun and challenging! You know I love writing!
DeleteThank you for this post! I am running out of wall space & was trying to think of a creative way to do my behavior chart! I am using Kinder Gals'behavior plan which is similar to the one I used last year- I just used colors w/ faces showing different emotions http://kindergals.blogspot.com/2012/01/megans-behavior-planagain.html. I think I may try the pizza pan idea! :) I needed something else to use my magnetic tape for! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I know exactly what you mean! Good luck!!
DeleteThis is super cute and looks super easy! I am excited about your Writing Unit too!! I just got back from a Writer's Workshop by Kristina Smekens. She was AMAZING!! So, I am even more excited that you and Mrs. Jump teamed up. YEAH!!! Stephanie

I LOVE you Deedee Wills! No ROBOT! WOOT! WOOT!

Falling Into First
Ahhhh, one more reason to craft..."mood lifting"! I might need to plan for a little crafting after the 1st day of school. Maybe you need to host a linky for other teacher "mood lifting" sources. =)
ReplyDeleteI am going to jazz up my pizza pan for our Wish Well circle. =)

I used serving trays for my Daily 5 choices & pizza pans for my behavior chart. I was out of wall space so I also put my behavior chart under my smart board. :) Here are the Daily 5 serving trays http://kindergartenfunn.blogspot.com/ and here is my behavior chart http://kindergartenfunn.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-few-classroom-update-sneek-peeks.html. I got the graphics from KinderGals. I have since taken pictures of my kids & laminated & put magnets on the back. So much easier than moving clips! :)
