ReplyDeleteI am excited to start the year with your writing stations. :-)

Chrissy... Sorry the first link did not work, but the Backpack Boogie is from Growing Kinders... love it!
DeleteHi Dee Dee! I posted yesterday about my first week's plans and I linked to one of my favorite peeks at your weeks...but now I think I will change the link to your current peek if that's ok with you! I know it helped me last year to read through your weeks. Although we don't teach the same grade level I enjoyed seeing how you broke things up etc. You are amazing!!!

I would love that Reagan! Thank you!! It helps me stay organized when I plan them all out like this!
DeleteHI Deedee! Awesome plans and I am going to add some into my planning this week! I was wondering though, how do you introduce so many centers in such a short time? I know most of my kiddos are non-readers and couldn't have handled this on the first week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do! You are saving me this year (coming back after 8 years off!)
Sherri
Hi Sherri, Most of my kiddos will also be non-readers too. My real focus this week is having them 1) find their station and 2) stay at their station. The task will be secondary. So many of my students will not have the perfect product after their station, but we have lots of time to perfect it over the next few weeks. I discuss the stations before and after each rotation. And then we repeat.:)
DeleteHi DeeDee,
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog all summer and love it! I too am coming back after a two year leave. How do you manage your centers? How many kids at each? How many do the kids do a day? And do you change centers each week? Etc... Also if you use a pocket chart or icons, what icons do you use and can I get them on TpT?
Thank you so much!
Katie
Hi Katie... I do have the station cards on my blog. I blogged about it a few weeks ago. They are free.
DeleteI will be posting about my stations later in the week. I hope you can wait!
I went back and found your center chart blog post with the icons. I must have missed it before. Thank you!
DeleteYay! Katie!!! I knew it was not too far back. I will post about my station organization on Wednesday. It is the same as last year (so you could hunt backwards if you want... ehhh....) That is a long way back! LOL!
DeleteDeeDee, Thank you so much for posting your stations each week! I am trying stations this year and this will help me get organized.
ReplyDeleteGreat Debbie! I will be posting more about this on Wednesday!
DeleteLove your posts so much! You are such an inspiration! I don't know how I ever missed Aleesia's write the room packs before! They look AWESOME! I put a couple in my cart :) I have one silly question: At the play dough center, do you put out ALL the cards or just select a few?? I teach pre-k and am never sure (I don't do letter of the week) how to do this without overwhelming them! Thanks and have a great start to an awesome year!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara!!! I put a few cards. Otherwise, they tend to get overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteI love your posts and have admire your planning now for a while. (I only wish I could be this thoughtful!!) I do have a question about your literacy workstations. Do you complete all 12 stations in one week? If so how many stations do your children do every day and for how long? Are there some stations that you repeat several times a week like word study? I am also curious to see what your workboard or station chart looks like. Thanks!!
