So this year we have a school wide theme... SPACE!
This caused me to want to redo my student binders. These are nothing new or revolutionary, but it keeps my kiddos organized and me sane! Semi-sane!
Here is what they look like on the inside.
Behavior Calendar and Money/Note pouch
Daily Schedule
Class list and ABC chart
Word Wall and Transportation notes
Left at home and Right back to school labels
A close up of the behavior calendar.
I made these files editable (not an easy task...let my tell you). You can change the wording, add your student names to the files, add your own schedule... Get the idea? The graphics are securely embedded, so I did not violate any TOU agreements... shew!
I do not plan on making any other themes, so if SPACE works for you, you are in luck!
Or...
I will give one away tomorrow!.
Just leave a comment in the Rafflecopter.
Also...some have asked how I "fit it all in." Here is a glimpse of my day.

I follow your awesome blog!

You have an interesting class list this year ;) How did you make the files editable? I just had a customer ask about that and I have no idea how to do it! Any advice would be great!

Oh Sara! First I had to create the background graphics. Then save the whole page as a PNG. Next I made that PNG as my page background (so it could not be lifted off and thus...violate the TOU)... Trust me... it was painful.
DeleteFinally I had to add back the text boxes, add explanations, and zip the file all together.
I have always wanted to try those binders! Yours looks great!
ReplyDeletelooks great! I've never tried this but now I'm tempted!
ReplyDeletewhat is left at home, and right back to school for? can you give me an example?
Sure! I have "Optional" homework... called Rocket Letters (it is a FREEBIE on my TpT store). The students can take their handwriting paper home to practice. When the bring it back, they are one step closer to the treasure box... Ohh...Ahhh!
DeleteWe also have forms that need to be returned from time to time.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the opportunity. I follow your blog and TPT store.

I've thought of using a binder instead of a take home folder for a few years. I loved seeing how you made it work.

ReplyDeleteI like your binder, but am most interested in the labels for the folder pockets. Do you have them for sale somewhere or will you sell them? I really like the way they are made. If you could let me know, I would appreciate it.
