Clever School Teacher-Ta Da!

Have you ever said anything to your husband in passing... and it seems to go in one ear and out the next?  Well, that is what I thought I did 8 months ago.  I said, "You know what would be really cool?  If there was a website that organized books around teaching ideas.  Then teachers wouldn't have to spend all their time searching for books to use.  They could just click and buy them..."

Now had this been a conversation about a pair of platformed wedged peep-toes, my statement above would have skipped through his ears and never stopped at his brain. But for some reason (totally new to me) he listened... weird!

So presto... change-o this web site was born.

We have spent countless hours organizing books for you.
Some books are organized by comprehension strategy.  Some are organized by writing... Be Still My Heart!

We also organized books around the Common Core Curriculum Map Units! SWEET!

I would love to tell you that this site is PERFECT... but it is not... YET! We do know that the delivery process works wonderfully.  I kept telling my husband, "I think I need to order some more books, just so I know the delivery system is flawless." LOL!

Will you please look around?

We will have gift certificates to this site during our book study! Yippee!
And the EVER-AMAZING April is hosting a gift certificate give-away over at her site.  Thank you April!!!!

I hope you like it and find it useful.  We would love to get your feedback!!!

  6. I loved this site the first time I saw it and I am so excited about the quality of the books. REAL books; not just the same books that big box stores sell. While there is a place for that, these are picture books that get passed down year after year and books that students will say, "I remember when we read that..." or when K kids learn to read they will reach for these titles and make them their own. Finally a book store that understands teachers because it was imagined by a teacher (and her sweet husband)!

  8. I see there were 6 Kindergarten common core units listed on the clever school teacher site. Are these units from the book you had posted about last week that is for sale on Amazon? Just curious where the units are from. Thanks!
    By the way... you rock!

  10. This is a fantastic idea. Have a question about the curriculum units-they don't seem to be the same as ours here in Georgia. Where did you get your units from? Anyway, love this idea and will use it next year!

  17. This is great, only I can't register! Not sure what I'm doing wrong! I have tried a few different times on different days. Once I click register nothing happens (even after waiting several minutes)! Sorry to bother you (I know how busy you are), but if you know what I'm doing wrong, I would appreciate a heads up. I feel so silly :(

  24. This site is awesome! Do you plan to make sets for all of Lucy's units of study? The teachers at my school have been looking for more books to match the units. We have started our own lists for each one, but are always looking for fresh new books and ideas. Let me know if you have any interest in our lists, too. I'm happy to share!
