After a visit with the dentist, I was able to finish a few things. Yippee!
Here is a game I thought up. It is a bit like solitaire. In this game the students will sequentially stack their number cards. The first one to complete 3 stacks will be the winner.
I am introducing this as a 1-10 stack and 11-20 stack, but I am thinking about making a skip counting (2, 5, 10) version? Thoughts?
I played a version of this with a few students (just the numbers without the cute graphics). They loved it! I hope they love the St. Patrick's Day graphics.

Looks great!

I LOVE the idea for the game. Have your kids played it yet? I am not sure if my class can do this skill this way, so I am curious. I am always up for challenging them as they always surprise me! hehe
ReplyDeleteLOVE the background for the cover as well.

Hi Mary, I played this game with a few of my kids (but it didn't have the cute graphics). They had no problem, but they were my proficient kids. I am going to try this with more a variety tomorrow. I suspect they will not have a problem. I think I will keep it in my small group for a while. I'm excited!
DeleteI absolutely love your writing center. I think I might use some of the vocab ulary cards as a write/read the room. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas with others.
ReplyDeleteOoooh......Can't wait to get my hands on it! Thanks so much!
