Peek at my Week Nocturnal Animals

We will be looking closer at nocturnal animals this week.  Here are some ideas I have gathered... so far. For the most part, we will do these as a whole group. You can either click on the link or the picture to find the source.

We will do this activity during our Word Study/Morning Meeting.
Love, Love, Love Katie's Nocturnal Animals unit!!!
This is from the Accidental Teacher, Mother Runner! So cute!
This is an adorable emergent reader from Climbing the Monkey Bars
We are going to be doing LOTS of activities from Deanna Jump's Owl unit! AWESOME!!!! I love the tree map. We will duplicate this idea as we look at raccoons, opossums, foxes, and other nocturnal animals.
This will be introduced in my small groups this week. Students will learn how to time their partner as they practice their fluency.  I used this in my class last year and it was a big success.  You can read about it here.  (It includes a FREE version but the ABC cards are not included-you can always use your own flash cards)

These cookies are A-DOR-A-BLE!  I am going to have to channel my inner-Betty Crocker.  These are from Oopsey Daisey
