Peek at My Week-Stations

Speaking of diving in...   I have included my math and literacy stations.  Please keep in mind... these are my PLANNED stations~ I'll let you know how they went.

I plan on using various sources besides my own:  Kindergarten Works, Fran Kramer, and Deanna Jump's stations are included.

If you click on the image it will take you to my Google Docs where I have embedded the hyperlinks for each activity.  Let me know if you have any questions!!!

You will notice that students will continue to explore some math manipulatives.  I plan to keep myself available to help my students who may need assistance in their more academic math stations.  Once the students are familiar with these types activities, I can switch them out without much drama... I mean trauma... I mean problem.

  1. Deedee---LOVE your center 'table' set up! I especially love that anyone can pick it up and see exactly what the students are doing (sometimes that's a problem in my room if I'm unexpectedly absent---the sub doesn't know exactly which station is which). LOVE IT! :)

  5. Wow! That is so organized! I love your station plans and it is so fun to see what another kindergarten teacher is doing for literacy and math stations. I am doing some of those exact stations, and I also got some great ideas for new stations! I really need to make some sort of document like that for myself so I can refer back to it next year and remember what I did for stations each week/month. Or you could just keep posting your station plans for us all year ;)

  6. Deedee, I remember a while back you posted how you had made some of your own work station cards for Debbie's pocket chart---I would love to be able to do that. I have no idea how though! I need the little yellow and blue rectangle cards for a "names" station. Would you be able to help me out?

  13. DeeDee,

I absolutely love your blog. You have so many great ideas and information to share. It is so helpful to me after coming back to teaching kindergarten from third grade! I want to make my own cards for the management board. How did you do it? Also, did you print their pictures on card stock or attach their pictures to something? If you use a template or have a special way that you do it, please email me donnalovesherbert@gmail.com

  14. Hi Donna,

There pictures are just plain photos processed at WalMart and I cut them to fit the size of my chart holder. The cards for the management board... I made those in Power Point. I configured the size to also match my pocket chart.

For math stations-I copied them on colored construction paper.

For literacy stations-I did the same and just changed the boarder color (blue and red). Hope that helps. I did send you the word wall files :-)

  15. Deedee,
You are amazing! I love your plans! Thank you for helping me organize my classroom! I am purchasing Debbie's pocket chart. Do you have a form you use to make signs to match the center?
Thank you again! You are an amazing teacher! :)
