Book Study Blog Party!!!

Ok... So school is officially over for me.  Time to work on my tan (not), get my pedicure in order (done)... What next?  How about getting caught up on some professional reading?

Click on the book cover to buy the book from Stenhouse

I have been dabbling with Debbie Diller's Math Work Stations, but I really want to get my head around it and make some plans for implementation for the fall.  I am teaming up with some WON.DER.FUL bloggateers so we can get multiple grade perspectives.

Starting June 1st we will have a series of linky parties with LOTs of FREEBIES and pictures of this book in action (or future plans of action in my case).  We will cover a chapter a week.  Other teachers can link up with their gems of knowledge.  All in all, you will have a plethora of resources from multiple grade levels by the time we finish this book.  Sounds good... right?!

So what do you need to do now:

1.  Make sure you have Debbie Diller's book.
2.  Be sure you follow these blogs so you won't miss out on the chapter installations.

Oceans of First Grade Fun

Do you LOVE it?  Are you in? I hope so because I am PUMPED!

  12. Kristen~ I am jealous! The last time I saw Debbie Diller was a few years ago and she was just talking about her in-the-works Math Work Stations. I can't wait to hear what you find out.

Everyone... I'm so glad you are as excited as I am. The creativity and sharing of blogsters is amazing!

  13. We live and breathe Debbie Dillard in our county. We currently do her Literacy Stations. If you haven't read her books on Literacy Stations I highly recommend them. I am super excited to get the math book and participate as well. The Academic Coaches in my county are going to be ecstatic. Thanks for this awesome chance to share.

  14. Gwendolyn... I LOVE her literacy stations book!!! But I have to tell you, my favorite... so far is her "Making the Most of Small Groups" book. I have had it for about 4 years and I keep returning to it. Do you have that one?

I can't wait to hear what your coaches have to say! I hope they will join in too!

  17. This is such a fabulous idea! Both of these books were on my summer reading list so I'm super excited for this book study to begin. I recently completed a grad school project based on Diller's book as well as Sammon's Guided Math and set up a faux blog as part of it. I'm using your book study as my first real post and posted a link to your site on my blog!
