Ode to my blogging angels

You know that moment in time when you KNOW your life is forever changed for the better?  Well, it happened to me in the stationary isle of my local Wal-Mart.
Yes, Wal-Mart!
It's a laminator for my home!!!
For under $30 my life has been altered forEVER!  I also found a deal at Amazon for a 50 pack of film... just $12.21!!!  Seriously?  It just gets better and better.

Gone are days of printing on Sunday... then breaking the land-speed barrier on Monday as I rush to school to turn on the laminator...praying it will heat-up in time for me to laminate my latest finds.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  to my blogging angels: beachliesl and Ashley at

  2. This is by far my best classroom investment ever. It's very addicting! FYI the cheapest place for laminate it usually Sam's Club. Also, don't buy cheap laminate...it's cheap and only buy the top loading kind....side loading laminate causes air bubbles!

  3. Yeah!!!! You will LOVE having it at the house!! I do not miss making those mad dashes to the laminator on Monday mornings... only to find out that it is out of film and it will take 1 week for it to arrive. LOL!! Happy Laminating!! :)

  8. I have the same laminator and LOVE it!!! Pretty much every paper item that comes around my house now gets safely encased in plastic! I buy my pouches at Sam's Club - $20 for a 200 pack! Enjoy!!!

  9. Oh thanks for the product tip Randi... no cheap pouches, no side-loaders... Got it!

I really like the Scotch brand... nice and thick... sturdy stuff MAN!

  10. WHAT!!! 20 bones for 200 pouches!!! I am SoOo there. Of course I ordered 100 from Amazon and my husband picked up 50 in St. Louis today. But I really don't think having 350 pouches is excessive! It's not like they expire, right?

  11. OMG I never thought to blog about this. Costco has one made by purple cow that is also excellent and I buy the pouches from Amazon too. Try not to laminate the entire house...this is a serious addiction! I could not live without this little gem and it is so worth the money. Next comes a copier-right?
    Enjoy this.

  12. The laminator is great, a suggestion I got at a workshop I went to a few years ago. No more running through the school to turn on the laminator, run back to class, get some things done, run back to the laminator that is now hot, and then back to class again. Also, at my last school teachers were not allowed to do their own laminating, so I had to wait until the "laminator" had time to get mine done, no fun waiting on that! I also get my pouches at Sam's club, the 200 pack for $20, they are top loading, and nice and thick - better than the school laminator! Enjoy your new toy!

  13. You will love it. I have one for home and school and I just bought laminate sheets for under 9 bucks/100 off amazon. My husband calls me the laminating queen!

  14. Ok does it have the same lamination quality as the heavy duty school laminator??

  15. Love this laminator! I think it far out does the quality my school gives me! I buy my sheets at BJ's. About $6 for 50. Target charges $15 for the same pack, which always surprises me!

  16. I,too, am also having a love affair with my laminator.
I really think it is the single best purchase I have ever made for the classroom. I got mine at Sam a few years ago. I get my pouches their too.
I have saved so much time, just laminating at home!
    Enjoy!!!

  17. I went to Walmart this morning to get one and they didn't have any! I was SO disappointed! I might get on their website and do the site to store thing. My school laminator is out - I used the last of it - and I don't know when (or if) it will get refilled. I am desperate!

  18. Bummer that Wal-Mart was out of this laminator. Perhaps one of the other stores people have mentioned will have it?? Fingers crossed!

I have been a lamination maniac today. I L.O.V.E the thickness of this lamination film. I want to relaminate EVERYTHING I did with the old yucky school laminator. Must. Step. Away!

  19. I checked every local Walmart (Union, Washington, Sullivan, etc.) and nothing. I ended up ordering it from Amazon. I am super excited since it got such good reviews!

  20. I forgot we were neighbors. Come to Owensville! We are out if school tomorrow, but I'm going to be in my classroom. Then we can go to the Owensville walmart! Such a plan!

  21. OMG! I would love to shop at Walmart with you! LOL! We have school tomorrow to make up one of the zillion snow days we had. But, my laminator should arrive next week and I'm so excited! Looking forward to that will make up for the bummer of making up these snow days.

  22. I have one at school and just purchased one at home the other day. I'm officially addicted to this stuff! Not to mention all the good stuff on TPT. I, too live in Missouri. I'm about 45 min south of Cape Girardeau. We are getting lots of flooding in these parts. I also agree with the Sam's sheets, they are awesome! They are a little less (barely) thick as compared to the Scotch. I went through a box of 200 in about 5 weeks. If you purchase a pair of red/black Farberware kitchen scissors, it makes for good cutting.

Btw, I love your blog! I've purchased many items from your TPT store, but just stumbled across your blog tonight.
