Baby Diapers: b and d reversals

We all know that b and d reversals are developmentally appropriate for young learners.  However, we use a little humor to help remind us.

We use our hands to make the shape of "b" and "d".

Of course we don't say, "diaper baby!"  Whenever I want a student to check their letters, I tell them, "Check your baby diapers."  This always makes them giggle.

  2. My kiddos are STILL messing up b and d! We did a huge lesson at the beginning of the year about "bubbles" and "dipping dots" (ice cream) and how bubbles go out of the mouth and dipping dots go into your mouth but obviously they didn't get it. I'm going to try this!

  5. So cute! My kiddos giggle every time they hear the word underpants - so I am sure the baby diapers will produce a gaggle of giggles! Great idea!
